This cable limits your hood from opening too far when the hood is raised.
Both ends are bolt to the hood and run through a loop in the exhaust.
Often times this cable will Rust, fray and break in the exhaust area.
I believe the stock cables are made from a braided steel, because mine frayed and rusted at the exhaust area.
Be assured this cable is made from the finest aircraft quality galvanized steel cable with a max working load of 96 lbs.

The hood limit cable is a very important part to say the least.
If you open your snowmobile hood and this cable fails your hood could break off just above the hinges (I know from personal experience). Probably a $500.00 mistake OOPS! Trust me you will look and feel like a complete idiot when your hood rips apart!
