At CostaCoat-USA, all of our product line is centered around our CostaCoat Wipe-On Clear Coat and all of our response represents this product. It’s a great alternative to wax, and has been especially developed for aged surfaces that have oxidized or degraded with time.
CostaCoat Protectant is a thin film clear coat made up of proprietary polymers, that dry to form a smooth, high gloss, thin film finish. This product will protect, shine and outlast wax and polishes. CostaCoat Protectant will fill the pores and create a hard shine. The more coats you apply, the greater the depth of shine and protection you will achieve...There is no need to scuff or sand between coats, drying time is less than30 minutes,so you can apply ten coats or more a day if you choose.
Works great on:
- Hard to detail items like tractors, bicycle, sand rail, boat trailers, motorcycle frames.
- Boats: can be applied over fiberglass, gel coat, most all fully cured paints and even over varnish.
- Enhanse the look and protect Carbon Fiber, used on bike frames, oars, paddles, hoods, and many aftermarket fairlings and custom parts.

CostaCoat Protectant can be considered an easy to apply, crystal clear, wipe-on hand varnish, that can enhance the look and extend the finish of most surfaces. It\'s a semi-permanent finish, so should you ever wish to remove it, we\'ve developed a CostaCoat Remover/Stripper that will remove just our CostaCoat Clear Coat Protectant without damage to the base substrate (when used as directed) it was originally applied too.
This product was designed for the harsh marine environment, and works great on Boats / Yachts, RV\'s, Sand Cars, Personal Watercraft /PWC\'s, Golf Carts, and will also extend the life of many prefinished wood surfaces, by applying over cured Lacquer, Polyurethane, Varnish, and other Acrylic finishes.
CostaCoat Protectant is great for those very hard to protect and shine surfaces like: Corrogated Fiberglass or Vinyl Siding, Old Plastic Trim, Outdoor Furniture, Jeep and Bronco Hardtops, Camper Shells, Rooftop Cargo Containersand Plastic Cladding.

A 16 oz. bottle will be enough product to coat approximately 40 sq. ft. at 6 coats.
This product should not be used over Polyethelene, HDPE, LDPE, Teflon or UHMW as those are (self lubricating types of plastics)surfaceswe are unable to make a chemicalbond to properly.
Preparation: Allthat needs to be done prior to application of CostaCoat Protectant, is to clean the surface well (using our CostaCoat Prep-Cleaner as a pre-wash, then rinsing well), making certain that all waxes, silicones, teflons, and oils are removed first. If it looks good when it\'s wet, it will look good once you have applied CostaCoat.
Once you use this product, you will wonder how you ever lived without it. You will wonder why you spend so much time with such poor results from other systems. You will never need to use a buffer again.
Being a thin film system, you can quite literally make the side of a cardboard box shine, if you wipe in enough coats.
