This 16oz. kit should be enough product to finish a kayak, canoe, PWC, or small camper shell...Total coverage on average of about40 sq. ft. at six (recommended) coats, for 16 oz. For other size KITs simply go to our store or type in COSTACOAT in your general search to find the appropriate KIT size (all KITs use the same formulation of clear coat).

At CostaCoat-USA, all of our product line is centered around our CostaCoat Wipe-On Clear Coat and all of our response represents this product. It’s a great alternative to wax, and has been especially developed for aged surfaces that have oxidized or degraded with time.
CostaCoat Wipe-On Clear Coat Sealer & Protectant, will provide an ultra-high gloss after and lasting protection, without rubbing or buffing. Once your surface has been properly cleaned (using CostaCoat Prep-Cleaner as a wash, then rinsing well and then fully dry), simply wipe on four to six initial coats of CostaCoat Protectant, allowing it to dry between each coat. Once six to eight coats have been applied, you will have lasting protection and shine…At least once a season or every six to eight months, you will need to clean (washing using Dawn dish soap only, then rinsing well, then dry) the surface and apply two to three coats additional coats (in order to rejuvenate).…When maintained properly this clear coat should last a very long time.Should you ever need to remover our clear coat, we have a remover/stripper that will remove our finish (and if done as directed should not damage to your original base finish or original substrate).
Preparation is the key to our system. You will need to get the surface you are applying CostaCoat to very clean (washing well with our CostaCoat Prep-Cleaner, and rinsing well), as any dirt or contaminants present will be encapsulated behind the clear coat and can prevent good adhesion once the clear coat has been applied. The way your surface looks when it’s wiped with a damp towel is the color you will get once CostaCoat Protectant has been applied. In your preparation there is no need to buff or try to make your surface shine…You will simply treat your original surface as a basecoat for color and CostaCoat Protectant as a Clear Coat.
A pint kit (16oz.) shouldbe enough product to complete a kayak, canoe, small boat, golf cart, sand car, cabinetry, or a couple of doors.

CostaCoat Protectant High Gloss Sealer Protectant is a thin film polymer system. Thefirst couple coats will penetrate and adhere to the base substrate, filling in micro pitting and erosion, that hascauseddegradation from theelements and UV (also known as oxidation). Once the base substratehas been filled, which will take one to three coats, theadditional coats will begin to build a smooth, thin, even protecctive film...This will aid in protection, increase film thinkness, adding depth and shine.
