The Hankook Winter i*Pike RS2 is a touring, winter tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The tire offers excellent winter traction. The ideal tread design, with the claw edge and side edges, and the winter compound enhance the ice and snow traction in cold winter temperatures. The tire manages to provide additional biting edges, which enhances surface grip. The tread is also pinned for studs, which can significantly improve winter performance. The winter compound keeps the rubber flexible in cold temperatures, while the wide grooves prevent hydroplaning. The ideal tread design, winter compound, and wide grooves upgrade the winter performance, even during freezing temperatures.
The unique tread design keeps constant road contact, while the ultra-high tensile steel belt structure maintains the ideal tire shape under pressure. This tread design and the strong structure enhance controllability and durability. The claw edges and side edges boost the cornering and maneuvering capability, on deep snow-covered roads. The maintained surface contact increases steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steel belt construction keeps the tire shape and also protects it against punctures.
