Kit includesthe OE style filter-regulator used in the 1999-2004 C5 Corvette and a set of AN-6 adapter fittings. The combination fuel filter and bypass regulator delivers 58 PSI (4 BAR) to your fuel rail and returns unused gas to the tank.
This set includesSCREW-ON type AN-6adapter fittingsfor the 3/8\" supply and 5/16\" return ports; these are stronger and inspire more confidence than the OE-style plastic snaps and do not require special tools to disconnect. Outlet uses the male 3/8\" quick-connect to AN-6 (-6AN) fitting.
Your electric fuel pump works continuously & this bypass regulator passes excess fuel back intothe tank so the pump can run freely. (A \"dead head\" regulator creates back pressure on the fuel pump which can causewear &premature pump failure.) This filter-regulator is commonly installed near the tank so that only a short return line is required.
