This kit is important, but the center spoiler is critical to proper airflow and cooling. This sectionaids in directing air from under the front end of the vehicle up through the radiator. During testing, we removed the center spoiler from a 1998 convertible. Engine operating temperature increased by an average of 10 degrees while driving with the front spoiler removed.This spoiler kit is manufactured from black urethane and includes the stamped steel reinforcement bracket and tension springs on the center section.
