Created for the fans ofhigh-speed driving, the Kenda Klever AT2 tire has alarge-block tread pattern with aggressive elements inthe upper sections ofthe sidewalls, which are meant toincrease the tire’sresistance tocut, tear, and puncture. The massive tread blocks ensure consistent performance onall types ofsurfaces, while the wide drainage grooves increase Klever A/T 2’shydroplaning resistance, aswell asstrengthen the grip onwet and muddy surfaces.
The all-weather rubber compound, combined with dense lamellas that form lots ofedges for abetter «bite» onsnow and ice, ensure great handling onwinter roads. The Kenda KR628 tires have been certified with a3-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF).

All tires need to be installed by a professional tireinstaller. Especially mud tires need tobe installed by a professional installer that has experience with the heavyduty sidewalls in these tires. We takecare of any issues that may come up with our tires but if the bead has been cut ortorn during installation there is nothing we can do. One way to know that a bead has been cut or torn is that it will cause a bulge in the sidewall of the tire.

Radial tire plies are not the same as they were back in the70’s when all tires were bias ply. Whentires went to radials they became a Load Range or Ply Rated. This means tires may have fewer true pliesbut are rated the same as the old bias tires with more plies. The plies are much stronger and hold up a lotbetter than the old way. Below is achart that shows how tires are rated today.
When a tire is givena \'ply rating\', it doesn\'t necessarily indicate the number of layers ofmaterial the tire is constructed of. As the need for greater fuel economy andthe cost of materials rises, the tire manufacturers have gone to using lighterbut stronger materials like Kevlar that provide the same strength that wouldhave took several layers of materials years ago. Fewer layers also means lessheat build-up, which is essential for longer tire life.
