Product Description

The Yukon YDGGM8.5-3-30-1 is a Dura Grip clutch-pack limited slip differential for GM 8.5\" and 8.6\" rear axles with 30-spline axles, covering 2.73 and up gear ratios. It spans one of the broadest application ranges in the Yukon lineup -- 1970s-era GM muscle cars, trucks, and vans through 1999–2017 Silverado/Sierra 1500, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Escalade, Colorado/Canyon, Trailblazer/Envoy, Express/Savana, S10/Sonoma, plus Isuzu Ascender, Buick Rainier, Saab 9-7X, and Hummer H3. The 30-spline unit also fits older 8.5\" housings when converting from 28-spline axles. For 28-spline only (no conversion) use YDGGM8.5-3-28-1.

Important: 2007 and newer vehicles may require material to be removed from the backside of the carrier case to clear the axle housing -- inspect before installation. Two different carrier bearing sets are required depending on axle: LM102949/LM102911 for 8.5\" housings (2.891\" race OD) and LM603049/LM603012 for 8.6\" housings (3.062\" race OD) -- both sold separately. 4-spring Raybestos composite clutch-pack with forged 4320 chromoly spider gears and nodular iron case throughout. Fully rebuildable. Non-synthetic GL-5 gear oil and Yukon LSD additive (OILADD) required. Assembled in the USA. Backed by Yukon\'s 1-year limited warranty.
