Installation: Trico fans rely entirely on steady intake manifold vacuum to spin their internal air turbine. That does not necessarily require drilling into an original vintage intake manifold. Alternatives include a carburetor riser with vacuum ports that tap directly into robust manifold vacuum below the carburetor throttle plates. Or, connecting to unused existing manifold vacuum ports on the intake manifold or carburetor. Engines equipped with a dual-action fuel pump provides another means of generating a steady vacuum source. A mounting kit for these non-drilling options is provided.
