This assembly was discovered in its original classic red-and-white Bosch box. It features the original brown phenolic rubbing block and a single pivoting breaker arm with terminal hardware.
**Condition Details:**
This is a true survivor part from the 1960s/1970s. Because it has been sitting in storage for 40+ years, the protective factory zinc/cadmium plating has developed a dull, spotted patina, and the amber-colored factory storage wax (cosmoline) has dried into a dark film on the metal. This is completely normal for authentic vintage German parts and confirms its NOS status. The contact faces themselves are clean, flat, and show absolutely zero electrical arc pitting or operational wear.
**Fitment Note:**
The base plate does not feature a stamped part number. It features a triangular body profile with two oblong adjustment slots and a large center cutout. Please review the high-resolution photos carefully and match the bracket layout, cutouts, and pin configurations to your specific vintage European distributor (commonly used on classic air-cooled VW, BMW, Volvo, or Porsche applications from the era).
