1980 Besco Folding Suitcase Trailer — Apparently Unused, Rare Bike Rack
Very cool, exceptionally preserved 1980 Besco folding suitcase trailer. This item folds to be so small I can actually ship it in two boxes via UPS. No need to worry about freight or local pickup. This example comes with its original canvas cover and the rare original Besco bicycle rack.
The trailer appears to be completely unused and may never have even been registered, and the included trailer that gets wired into the car is brand new, never been stripped or installed. The original license plate light is present, but the license plate itself has never been installed—a fascinating detail for collectors. All this to say, I purchased this from an estate; I have no title and I suspect it was never registered or received one.
A clever, compact piece of vintage French trailer design, perfect for a vintage Volkswagen, classic Mini, or other small vintage car enthusiast. Whether you’re into period-correct accessories, retro camping, or unusual automotive collectibles, this is a great find.
Includes the original canvas cover and rare bicycle rack. Please see photos for condition and details. Tires, bearings, lighting, and towing equipment should be inspected before road use.
Please note:
UPS shipping price is for the Lower 48 states, please inquire for Alaska & Hawaii. International shipping through ’s international program only.
