This cable has a traffic antenna, but it requires an internal built-in traffic receiver to function and receive traffic information.
- To check if your Garmin model has a built-in traffic receiver, navigate to Main Menu > Settings > Device > About.
- Look for the line that says "Built-in traffic receiver?"
- If your model displays "Yes," you can use this charger to receive over-the-air traffic information.
- If your model shows "No," you will need an external add-on receiver power cord such as GTM36 or GTM60 to enable the HD traffic function. Some GPS models can use smartphone as an external receiver by installing Garmin App.
