A sale for a PAIR (2) of new high quality reproduction outside door mirrors pair.They can also be fender mounted. I am offering these to Studebaker owners but they are not exact as original. These mirrors are similar to many factory original mirrors found on cars in the 1950's 1960's and 1970's. I have included some pictures of Studebakers with these or similar mirrors. Howdy likes them on his car. (For you youngins...Howdy Doody was a kid show puppet in the 1950's). These mirrors are an exact reproduction of the original mirrors offered by GM for 1955, 1956 and 1957Chevrolets (GM part #987460). The mirrors have no Chevrolet markings. The mirrors are all metal as original. The cast alloy base is bright chrome, the mirror back is polished stainless steel. The 4.5 inch lens is optical quality tinted glass as original. Left and right mirrors are the same. The two mirror sits 6 inches high. They come with template (for the correct placement of screws), molded rubber gasket.........see picture (not a flat piece of rubber as some others offer), and the two propper mounting screws. They attach to the car as original. One screw is under the mirror and slides into a key-hole shaped hole in the underside base of the mirror. The second screw goes into a recessed hole in the rear of the mirror base (see picture for this hole). The screws are placed 4 inches apart. The footprint of the mirror with molded gasket is 6 1/2 x 1 3/8 inches. The mirror heads are firmly attached to the base for secure adjustments that stay in place when you slam the door or drive over 60 mph. I personally inspect every mirror before packing.
