Product kit is perfectly cut using a Fiber CNC Laser along with precision bending.
-- Relocates the upper mount to the outside of the frame with 4 self threading bolts and/or the mount can be welded for a more secure fit.
--This kit may have clearance issues with oversized tires and the installer must check for any rubbing on the tire to prevent a tire failure.
--Installation time is 2-3hrs depending on how long it takes to remove the shocks from the old mounts.

There are many reasons of why someone would want to change the mounting location. After the 3rd Gen 4Runner, For Toyota redesigned the mounting position on the 4th and 5th Gen 4Runners and moved the shocks outboard to improve upon the ride quality. Here are a few of the most important reasons on why you may want to do this modification.
Shocks are most efficient when mounted in line with the line of travel. The factory shocks are mounted at an angle and are not as effective during normal driving conditions.
The OEM mounting point creates a "bowl". It is common for water to collect here are cause the factory mounting point to rust out.
