A Single Layer Racing Suit Perfect for The Sportsman Racer
We know racing gets expensive and that there are inherent dangers to the sport. But that doesn’t mean you can’t be safe while keeping your racing budget in check. For those sportsman level “weekend racers” that do not require multi-layer Nomex suits to compete in, our single layer fire retardant cotton (FRC) racing suits are a great option.
Our SFI-1 driving suit offers peace of mind and when it comes to fire protection. The single-layer, SFI 3.2A/1 fire suits have a TPP (Thermal Protection Performance) rating of 6, promising up to three seconds of protection from second degree burns. While three seconds doesn’t sound like much time, with practice you should easily be able to release your harness and exit your race car within that time frame. One Piece Racing Suits Provide Increased Protection

Installation Tips
Superior level of protection for those on a budget:
- FR Cotton is designed for the economic racer involved in organizations that do not require Nomex material. All cotton suits feature a special flame-resistant treatment for an increased level of safety.
- The SFI Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization established to issue and administer standards for specialty/performance automotive and racing equipment. All Finishline racing suits are SFI-certified.
How to care for your race suit:
- Dry cleaning is recommended but the following steps for normal machine washing are acceptable.
Note: some dry-cleaning solvents are flammable and may leave a flammable residue on your race suit.
- Machine wash with a mild detergent in cold water. DO NOT use fabric softener or bleach.
- Before washing, close the zippers and fasten all Hook and loop closed using a stainless steel safety pin to prevent damage to the fabric.
- DO NOT wash other garments with your race suit to prevent the risk of staining from color bleeding from other items. Remove suit from machine immediately after washing.
- Wash right-side-out ONLY to prolong the life of the liner.
- Hang indoors to dry, as hanging in the sun will cause fading.

Summary: I use this jumpsuit for racing in the Bump and Run. It's very comfortable and well made. I got an XL - Im 5'10- 195 lbs and it fits perfect. My son also tried it on and it fit him Percy too- he is 6'2 and 210 lbs.
