-Pair of original Porsche "Peanut shape 911.521.086.10" style black leatherette Headrests originally used on factory Recaro seats 1972-73 model years and some sport seats. Approximately 11.5" wide by 6" high, plus mounting posts.
-Colloquially known as the "Peanut" due of their complex and distinct, hourglass- or peanut-like horizontal contour, combined with an oval cross-section.
-The long mounting posts have incremental notches allowing significant vertical adjustment of the headrest height, and are hinged allowing the user to adjust the headrest from the vertical position to an angled forward position.
-Can also be used on 1968-71 911 and 912 cars that were originally fitted with the "D shape 901.521.086.00" Headrests. These 1972-73 "Peanut" Headrests arguably offer more comfort, range of motion, and more safety than the "D" Headrests.
-1968 model year 911 and 912 cars constructed after January 2, 1968 had a mounting provision for this type headrest; if the original seats do not currently have headrests, buyer must verify if the backrest frames have plastic plugs covering where the notched mounting posts would be inserted.-This pair of Headrests are in very good condition, with original textured covers having only minor imperfections (see photos). They were stored for many years, not mounted on a car during that time.
-Headrest mounting posts have surface oxidation (see photos)
