The Nexen Winguard Sport 2 is a performance and high performance, winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model has some touring sizes too.
The tread design and the winter weather compound work together to boost the winter traction. The directional tread design features a high-density 3D siping pattern and long, angled tread blocks that increase the grip on the ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. These tread elements heighten the number of biting edges gripping the road surface, ensuring a safer performing ability. The winter compound, on the other hand, keeps the tire pliable in colder temperatures by optimizing the rubber flexibility. The tread\'s angled lateral and zigzag circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint. This combination guarantees a safer winter weather driving experience.
The tire also boosts the high speed controllability with the ideal tread design. The directional pattern and the flat footprint maintain the tire\'s surface contact throughout the drive.
