π§ Installation Guide: How to Connect the Dual Ports
This fuel water separator features a Dual Port Design. Each end is intended for a different type of connection. Please check your vehicle's fuel line type before installation.
1. Threaded Port (1/2"-28 UNF)
This end has an internal thread and requires a male fitting to connect.
- For soft rubber hose: Use a 1/2"-28 UNF male to hose barb adapter. Insert the barb into your hose and secure with a clamp.
- For hard metal line: Use a 1/2"-28 UNF male to OEM adapter that matches your factory hard line.
- Note: Use PTFE tape on the threads. Do not over-tighten.
2. Smooth Bore Port (1/2" / 12.7mm)
This end is a smooth hole with NO threads. It is designed for push-in connections.
- Option A (Most Common): Use a hose barb fitting with a 1/2" outer diameter. Push it firmly into the hole, then connect your hose to the other end.
- Option B (For Modern Vehicles): Insert a matching 1/2" Quick-Connect fitting directly into this smooth bore.

DO NOT attempt to screw a threaded fitting into the smooth bore end. Forcing it will damage the housing and cause a dangerous fuel leak.
