EL-50448 OEC-T5 TPMS Relearn Reset Tool
Most GM and Opel vehicles equipped with a 315MHz or 433MHz Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) require a sensor re-learn procedure after tire rotations, tire pressure sensor replacement, or Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Module replacement. This EL-50448 tool performs that re-learn quickly without a trip to the dealer.
When You Need This Tool?
New TPMS sensors installed, but the system won\'t recognize them even after adjusting tire pressure.Tire rotation performed, and the ECU needs to relearn each wheel\'s new position.TPMS warning light stays on after maintenance and needs to be reset.Sensor replaced or repaired due to damage, leakage, or low pressure, and the system needs to resync.
How to Enter Learning Mode?
- Put the gear in Park.
- Use the dashboard controls to select TPMS re-learn mode.
- The horn sounds twice and the TPMS light flashes to confirm learning mode has started.
How to Use the Tool?
- Insert a fully charged 9V battery. (not included)
- Starting at the front-left tire, hold the antenna perpendicular to the tire sidewall near the valve stem.
- Press and release the power button. A single chirp confirms that sensor has been read.
- Move to front-right, then rear-right, then rear-left, in that order.
- Two horn beeps confirm all four sensors have been successfully relearned.
Please Note:
- Requires one 9V battery, (not included).
- Will not read aftermarket sensors that don\'t match your vehicle\'s original TPMS frequency.
- If no new sensor is learned, most vehicles exit learning mode automatically after 2-3 minutes.
- Designed for light-duty passenger vehicles.
