Three of the Stainless screws and washers can be used with or without a windshield trim piece. The washers give the screw better holding power. The other 4 screws are used down the sides of the fairing.All the screws are Hex Head Socket Cap Screws. Much easier to work with than the stock Torx screws. There is less chance of stripping the heads and you are able to tighten them much easier.
