Important Notes & Installation Tips:
Professional installation is highly recommended for exhaust work; vehicle lift or jack stands required for undercarriage access.
Always allow the exhaust system to fully cool down (minimum 1 hour after driving) before removal to avoid severe burns.
Inspect old exhaust hangers, rubber isolators and exhaust gaskets during replacement; replace cracked, rusted or damaged factory hardware for leak-free fit.
This muffler matches OEM exhaust backpressure only – not designed for high-performance modified exhaust builds.
Do not install if your vehicle has severe engine burning oil or coolant leaks; oil/fluid contamination will damage internal muffler baffles and shorten service life drastically.
Stainless steel surface discoloration from high exhaust heat is normal and does not indicate product failure.
This part only fits 3.4L V6 models of 2001-2002 Toyota 4Runner; will NOT fit 4-cylinder or other engine displacement variants, other model years, Tacoma or Tundra trucks.
