Original Copper-Gauze Air Cleaner / Spark Arrestor — Chevy 1929–1931
Scarce original copper-gauze air cleaner / spark & flame arrestor for the Carter RJH-08 updraft era on 1929–1931 Chevrolet cars and trucks. Oil-wetted copper mesh still present. Housing stamped 2-5448, PAT. PENDING, MADE IN U.S.A. Clamp-on style with mounting collar and strap. Used — surface oxidation and age wear as shown. These almost never show up for sale; sold as a restoration piece for the early Chevy six, not a modern paper-element filter.
