  The Junkyard Dog \"Single Plane\" Cathedral V1 Port cam is an aggressive and powerful camshaft created for aggressive street performance and street-strip applications where a carburetor or single plane intake manifold is used with cathedral port heads. This camshaft is an excellent choice for enthusiasts who want to hotrod or race a stock short block. This camshaft is designed to get maximum performance out of a single plane equipped 5.7 to 6.2 liter stock short block while still maintaining acceptable valve clearance without fly-cutting the pistons in cathedral port headed engines. However, it is still the owner\'s/engine builder\'s responsibility to verify sufficient clearance during installation. Also, milling of the heads, installing a thinner head gasket or installing larger diameter valves will reduce your piston to valve clearance. The Junkyard Dog Single Plane Camshaft has a very lopey idle. This camshaft is designed to be used for vehicles equipped with headers, high flow exhaust, increased stall speed torque converter and increased rear axle ratios.
