The CSF 3242 is a direct-fit, all-aluminum replacement radiator for the gas-engine Isuzu NPR and NPR-HD, sold under three brands as the same underlying cab-over truck platform: Isuzu NPR/NPR-HD, Chevrolet W3500/W4500 Tiltmaster, and GMC W3500/W4500 Forward. These trucks used a GM-supplied gas V8 (a 6.0L Vortec in the later years) paired exclusively with a GM automatic transmission across the entire production run -- no manual transmission was ever offered on this gas/chassis combination.
Because every gas-engine truck in this family needed to cool both engine coolant and automatic transmission fluid, the radiator includes a built-in transmission oil cooler with a 5/16\" hose barb connection as standard equipment, not an optional add-on. The aluminum core and tanks are built for the sustained heavy-duty cooling demands of a commercial box truck or service vehicle.
This is the gas-engine-specific radiator for this platform; it is not correct for the parallel diesel-powered versions of the NPR/NPR-HD/W-Series, which used different Isuzu-sourced diesel engines (4BD2-TC, 4HE1, 4HK1, 4JJ1) across the same years and require a different radiator.
