Product Description

The BBK 1515 is a pair of 1-5/8\" unequal length shorty headers with titanium ceramic finish, engineered for the 1986–1993 Fox-body Ford Mustang GT, LX, and Cobra equipped with the 5.0L 302 V8. By replacing the restrictive factory cast iron exhaust manifolds with free-flowing 1-5/8\" CNC mandrel-bent primary tubes and 3/8\" one-piece laser-cut flanges, these headers deliver a dyno-proven 10–15 RWHP gain at the rear wheels. The unequal length shorty design retains the factory exhaust routing and is fully compatible with the stock H-pipe or any aftermarket mid pipe, making them an easy first step in a complete Fox-body exhaust build. BBK manufactures every header from 16-gauge steel tubing with robotic and precision hand welding, then pressure tests each unit for leak-free performance before shipping. The titanium ceramic coating provides heat retention and corrosion resistance while reducing underhood temperatures for a cleaner, more durable installation. These headers are designed and dyno-tested at BBK\'s facility in Southern California and are 50-state legal under CARB EO# D-245-8. Note: these headers are NOT compatible with GT40P cylinder heads -- vehicles equipped with GT40P heads (found in some 1993 Cobras and certain crate motors) will require alternative fitment. For 1979–1985 Mustangs, fitment requires converting to a dual exhaust system. The kit includes header gaskets and all required hardware for installation.
