Designed for shocks, these ears on the G-Body cars were never meant to support the weight of the vehicle. When adding coil over suspension, this loads all the weight onto these ears which can possibly crack and fail over time. With the new GM G-Body brace from 66Aero, these ears are reinforced and tied together.
