This listing is for the factory Pontiac 7000 rpm Tachometer as shown. I no longer have the chrome housing, so you are getting only what is shown. Good used condition, I believe this is the same tach in the 1962\'s that was mounted in the console only as the 1963-64\'s which were in the dash or console if I remember correctly. There is still plenty of wiring to splice to, but the original terminals are gone on the one end. The bulb in the socket for back lighting this has failed, but I left it in there so you can match up a replacement. There is no corrosion or issues with the socket at all. It needs a 3-3/8\" hole to go through to mount if trying to mount it direct to a flat dash. It is appx 3¾\" o.d. at the chrome bezel and appx 2¾\" deep not including the knob for the orange red line/shift rpm indicator. I believe it was the inhouse AC division that made these for Pontiac. Made in the USA of course. Note that these old tachs like this were only made with work with points type distributors as that is the only power wire that makes this work. Does not work with anything more modern unless you get an adapter or change the internals to something more modern, both of which people have done in the past to theirs to keep the factory look but make it able to run an aftermarket electronic or MSD type ignition box.
