When we compress solid copper crush washers, a tight seal between two connecting parts is created.
As a soft metal, copper is a great choice for a sealing gasket because it fills small irregularities in contact surfaces.
It is likewise corrosion resistant in damp and wet environments, plus is nonmagnetic.Industries that use solid copper washers are automotive, industrial machinery, plumbing, aerospace, electronics, agriculture, clean energy, material processing, heavy equipment and many more.
Sealing washers are most commonly used in vehicles for brake fittings but also for drain plug gaskets,
where a guaranteed seal is require for fluids like oils and fuels.
Also known as sealing ring or lining washer. Please note that once copper or aluminum is compressed during installation, the gasket should not be reused.
