The 4T Power Systems Remote Control Heavy Duty Trailer Light Tester is designed for Commercial and Agricultural Trailers using a Diecast Hopkins, Grote, or Pollack 7-Pin Connector. Made in Piedmont, South Dakota by 4T Power Systems, this item includes 2 remote controls for trailer lights and an Auxiliary output with a voltmeter/ammeter, all in one convenient unit.
The tool's onboard battery converter is set to approximately 13.6VDC, and the Smart Battery dock will alert you to a low-battery condition.The tester can supply up to 25 amps, allowing testing of multiple circuits concurrently while monitoring the amperage required for individual circuits. Keep in mind that higher amperage may quickly drain the battery. If there is a potential grounding issue, a Black port is provided to serve as an auxiliary ground source forthe trailer frame.The second Red port provides a +13.6 VDC supply for testing individual lights, circuits, or whatever you may need that is12 VDC and up to 25 amps. A 4' 12-gauge cable with a quick connector is included along with 2 sets of alligator clips.
The two included remotes will toggle on/offthe systems as follows: "1" Tail / Running lights, "2"the Clearance / Marker lights,"3" & "4"are for left and right turn signals, a switch is installed to change turn signals from Flashing to Steady for circuit troubleshooting,"5"Activates the Stop lamps, and"6" will engage the Aux Circuit and +13.6 VDC output.The remotes may not signal through the trailer, so aim under or around the unit. LED lights on the unit indicate which system is activated.
Four Circuit breakers protect your Trailer and tester: Three 10-amp circuit breakers for lighting and a 20-amp breaker for the Aux circuit and Power-Bank output. A short in the wiring can trip the breakers. Just push the circuit breaker button to reset the system.This Test box will not diagnose the ABS system; it only provides up to 20 amps to the Auxiliary circuit.With a 30-day warranty, this product is reliable and efficient for ensuring the safety and functionality of your trailer before and while on the road.
