A Valet / Programming switch is required to program this remote.
Programming can be difficult if you are not familiar with it. Please read the programming instructions (below) before purchasing. Assistance from an auto specialty shop or locksmith may be needed.
Programming Instructions:
PREPARE VEHICLE FOR REMOTE LEARNING:
1. Door. Open a door.
2. Key. Turn the key to the ON position.
3. Choose. Within 5 seconds press and release the Valet/Program button on the system CONTROL CENTER one time.
4. Select. Within 5 seconds, press & HOLD the Valet/Program button on the system CONTROL CENTER.
LED will flash one time and the siren (if connected) will chirp to confirm vehicle is ready for the remote pairing.
5. Ready. Release the Valet/Program button & proceed as follows.
The following instructions will direct you through the available programming options.
1. Press and hold the F button for 8 seconds, the remote emits one long beep and the transmit LED turns on.
2. Press and hold the START button for 1 second, 3 transmit LED flashes and 3 beeps indicate remote is ready to pair.
3. Press and release 1 time the Integrated Programming Button (IPB) on the XL202.
4. Within 5 seconds, press and hold the IPB. The status LED will flash one time to confirm the system is ready for remote pairing.
5. Press the LOCK button
Please Note:
For transmitter learn Step #1, you must press the (*) button on the transmitter, this will automatically program the transmitter buttons to the default function configuration. See the transmitter button auto learn chart for the assignment functions.
1-way remote control: there is no confirmation for this remote control.
6. Release the IPB. Remote programming will exit by itself after 30 seconds and the transmit LED will turn off.
Note:
Consult the installation center for the location of the XL202 or refer to dealer for programming.

2. Press the UNLOCK button to access the remote operation features, 2 transmit LED flashes and 2 beeps indicate the remote features menu is accessed. Press the buttons indicated in the tables below to set the feature option.
