Why the cooling fan of the car engine does not turn?
1.Whether the water temperature meets the requirements:Today's car radiator fans are mostly operated by electronic temperature control. Therefore, generally, only when the water temperature in your car reaches a temperature that meets the requirements, the fan will start to rotate normally. If it is too low, the radiator fan cannot rotate. Therefore, when your car's radiator fan fails to turn, you should first check whether the water temperature meets the requirements.

2.Relay failure:If the water temperature meets the requirements, the car radiator fan still cannot work, then there may be a problem with the fan relay. If the relay fails, the car radiator fan will not work.

3.There is a problem with the temperature control switch:if there is no problem in the above two aspects, then you must check the temperature control switch. Sometimes there will be some malfunctions in this place, which will also cause the operation of the car radiator fan. A certain impact, so you should also pay attention to inspection.

    Placement on Vehicle:

    Front,Driver Passenger Side

    Package Content:

    1X New Cooling Fan

    Working Principle :
    1. The water tank temperature sensor (actually a temperature control valve, not a water temperature gauge temperature sensor) detects that the temperature of the water tank exceeds the threshold (usually 95 degrees), the fan relay is activated;
    2. The fan circuit is turned on through the fan relay, and the fan motor starts.
    3. When the water tank temperature sensor detects that the temperature of the water tank is lower than the threshold, the fan relay is separated and the fan motor stops working.

The factor that affects the operation of the fan is the temperature of the water tank, which has no direct relationship with the water temperature of the engine.

How to Replace a car Cooling Fan?

Step 1 -Locate and disconnect the electrical connector for the cooling fan.
Step 2 -Next, remove the lower mounting bolts that attach the fan to the radiator. (Note: Some vehicles have alignment dowels which need not be removed.)
Step 3 -Remove any weather stripping that will help access the cooling fan. (Note: This is not needed on most vehicles.)
Step 4 -Then, loosen mounting bolts or clips to remove any plastic shielding that will inhibit the replacement of the cooling fan.
Step 5 -Once all mounting bolts have been removed, lift the plastic covering from the vehicle.
Step 6 -After the plastic covers have been removed, loosen and remove the core support mounting bolts. (Note: This is not needed in some vehicles.)
Step 7 -Next, lift the core support from the vehicle. (Note: A hood cable release could be mounted to this support.)
Step 8 -Then, loosen the upper radiator hose clamp using a hose clamp tool or channel locks.
Step 9 -Once the clamp has been loosened, grasp the hose and twist using a hose pick or screwdriver to assist. Have a fluid catch basin ready as coolant will leak out. (Note: Depressurize or drain the radiator if needed. Radiator replacement.)
Step 10 -After the upper radiator hose has been removed, undo the mounting clips or bolts that hold the air intake in position. (Note: This step needed only if the air intake is blocking the removal of the cooling fan.)
Step 11 -Next, loosen and remove the upper mounting bolts from the cooling fan radiator mount.
Step 12 -Once all mounting bolts and clips have been removed, gently lift the cooling fan from the engine bay. Use caution when performing this action as to not damage the radiator cooling fins.
Step 13 -After the failed cooling fan has been removed, compare the old fan to the replacement cooling fan. Inspect mounting tabs and electrical connector to ensure proper installation. (Note: Some cooling fan designs feature the replacement motor separate.)
Step 14 -Gently lower the new cooling fan down into the engine bay and onto the radiator. Again, use caution when performing this as not to damage the radiator cooling fins.) Reassembly all mounting bolts etc., refill cooling system and check the coolant reservoir, add fluid as needed.

    Notes:

    • The cooling fan is an important part of the vehicle cooling system. The performance of the fan directly affects the heat dissipation effect of the engine, which in turn affects the performance of the engine.
    • If the fan is not selected properly, it will result in insufficient or excessive cooling of the engine, resulting in deterioration of the working environment of the engine, which in turn affects the performance and service life of the engine.
    • In addition, the power consumed by the fan accounts for about 5% to 8% of the engine's output power. Under the trend of pursuing environmental protection and low energy consumption, fans are also attracting more and more attention.
