The socket is a BAY15D socket which is 15mm diameter and has the bayonets offset and two contacts on the bottom. Operates up to 7.4 Volts. The White 6000K bulb starts to light at 3.5 Volts. Operating this bulb 7.8 Volts or above will damage this bulb and void warranty. The bulb uses approximately 290mA@6.8 Volts for the brake light and 90mA@6.8 Volts for the taillight. After installation these led bulbs may cause hyper flashing. Long life up to 30,000 hours. The MOL is 1.47" from top to bottom. The diameter is 0.78". The led bulb is usually smaller than a incandescent bulb so you know that it will fit. The bulb only uses 2.6 Watts and is comparable to a 24 Watt incandescent bulb.
