A Christmas Message
Peace on earth – Good will toward men
The Christ child born – a good omen.
The world goes on and like the tide
The Horsemen Four are on the ride.
All peace is gone – good will no more
The earth in chaos – the world at war.
And so our gifts must different be
That men may fight for you and me.
And on the day that they return
So we may know and knowing earn
The right to say, “In some small way
We’ve helped our boys to save the day.”

The same day saved – as history cries
“Don’t shoot till you see the whites of their eyes”
Bombs bursting on high – the rockets red glare
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.

Enclosed you will find defense stamps, we thought
You could add to the ones you’ve already bought
We’re sure you’ll agree, it’s better this way
To know that we’re helping the boys save the day.
