The helmet’s history is unknown. It has not been professionally inspected, and we cannot confirm whether it has ever been dropped, involved in an impact, or otherwise damaged. The interior foam is beginning to deteriorate, and the chin-strap covering is cracked and peeling. The shell, peak, liner, straps, cord, and attached equipment have scratches, chips, dirt, discoloration, and general age-related wear.
The wired headset and boom microphone are untested. Their functionality, compatibility, and completeness are unknown. No transparent face shield or additional equipment is included.
This vintage helmet is not represented as safe or suitable for riding, racing, aviation, or any other protective use. Do not use it as safety equipment.
Vintage Shoei RJ-101V three-quarter open-face helmet dated October 21, 1993. It has a glossy deep red/burgundy shell, gold Shoei and RJ-101V graphics, and a black peak. Marked size Medium, fitting hat sizes 7 1/8–7 1/4.
An unidentified wired communication system is attached, including a boom microphone, wiring, coiled cord, and five-pin circular connector. Everything included is shown in the photographs.
The interior retains a vintage Snell Memorial Foundation certification label numbered M4326074. This older label is not represented as a current or valid safety certification.
