However, looking at historical OE cross-references (such as GM 1963559 and Ford applications), it is most commonly utilized in classic point-ignition setups from the mid-1960s through the late 1970s:
General Motors (1965–1976): Fits various V8 and inline-6 models across Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick, and Cadillac. It mounts to the ignition coil or distributor to suppress ignition system noise coming through the AM/FM radio.
