Identification: Internal aluminum housing features OEM casting numbers 85892 and cross-references with 817255.

Component Details & Condition
Condition: Fully serviced, thoroughly tested, and in great working condition.
Switches & Electronics: Features a brand-new key switch in place. Any wires that had to be cut in order to service the key switch were soldered together or pinned, then sprayed with a rubberized spray to protect the key switch and its wiring. Neutral safety switch, kill switch, tilt/trim switches, and trailering button have all been tested and verified fully functional.
Note on Trim Testing: Power trim and tilt functions cannot be accurately evaluated via a simple bench test; the wiring harness must be fully plugged in and powered with 12V. For precise electrical verification, test continuity/voltage using the brown wire as the hot supply, checking sequentially from the brown wire to the green, purple, and blue circuits.
Wiring: Professionally serviced. The 15 ft boat-side harness and 8-pin plug are in good condition. Note: The 4 lower trim/tilt wires required trimming due to minor dry rot/sun cracking, leaving plenty of clean wire length ready for new terminal additions.
Hardware: Brand-new key switch installed (chokes and fires the motor properly). Newly added handle shift lock-out button installed (OEM Casting # 93487). Freshly greased and shifts smoothly into forward, neutral, and reverse.
