Very excited to offer this extremely rare and coveted W198 Mercedes Benze 300SL Gullwing rear window frame trim, listed under the original spare part number 401986780030.Vehicle Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing W198 was manufactured in the years 9/54 to 5/57 in a quantity of 1400. This piece came out of the Austin Family Collection out of Corona, CA with a further provenance associated to the original owner from Oceanside, CA and MBCC in Irvine.
It is presented and sold as found, as is condition, leaving the patina and reconditioning to the buyer. Close inspection reveals light scratching potentially polishable and a single light gouge scratch across the passenger side vertical rail (pictured). The rest appears to be in exceptional original condition, albeit needing proper light cleaning/polishing.
