We have been running units like these for over 10 years, and they make navigating snowmobile trails in places new and old a breeze. You\'ll be able to select any point along a snowmobile trail, and the unit will calculate a route to your destination. Take the GPS with you and use in your vehicle as well.Each Garmin unit isrefurbishedin-house by us. What does this mean? We take pre-owned units and test for proper functionality, then disassemble, clean and install a new, 33% larger battery (1100mAh instead of 830mAh).From there we update the unit and install a sample MN snowmobile trail map as a complimentary service, along with some custom vehicle icons to display on the 3D map during navigation for your own personalization. What\'s Required:

• Snowmobile Trail Maps. There are several providers of maps depending on which states you ride, such as VVMapping for Midwest states and Backwoods GPS Trails for New England states. These are available on a microSD card that are plug and play into this unit. Check out our other listings where we sell these units with maps!

• Power source on your snowmobile.This can be achieved a few different ways:

1. If your snowmobile has a 12V power port, you can simply insert your own USB charger and then connect the cable provided by us.
2. We sell Garmin 12V power adapters that plug into a 12V power port, check our items for availability. Keep the cable we provide as a data transfer cable for future map updates.
3. Wire in a 12V power port or a USB charger port from the battery or other 12V power source.

• Mount for your snowmobile.You will need a RAM B-Size Arm and B-Size Ball Mount for your specific snowmobile. There are many options available, from handlebar clamps, to bolt down units, and some that thread onto the end of a bolt. Whichever option you choose, verify that you have clearance by turning your handlebars fully left to right and right to left to ensure no interference with your controls, gauges, power cable, etc.

Note: The battery in the unit will have limited capacity to run in cold weather, which is true of most GPS units, and will require external power while operating on a snowmobile. The battery will however power the unit for some time when power is disconnected. These units are not intended to be used in inclement weather, and must be removed from the machine and stored properly when not in use. This GPS system is to assist in guidance only, always refer to printed trail maps and signage at the trail for possible route changes and closures. Lifetime map updates are provided by Garmin and only apply to road maps, not trail maps.
