Cold air intake system for the 2006-2011 Honda Civic with the 1.8L R18 engine, the eighth generation FA and FG chassis. The factory airbox is a large sealed plastic case with a flat paper element and a narrow inlet snout, built around noise rather than flow.

This kit replaces it with a mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube and a high-flow cone filter, mounted inside a contoured steel heat shield. The shield is the part that matters here. Plenty of cheap intakes for this car are a bare pipe and a filter hanging in open engine bay air, which raises intake temperatures and gives back most of what the extra flow gained. This one keeps the filter walled off and fed from the cool side.

• Heat Shield Included: Contoured steel shield with rubber edge trim separates the filter from engine bay heat. Many intakes at the low end of this market leave it out entirely.
