New custom throttle linkage kit for 1955-1962 Chevy 235/261 motors.
This linkage kit is designed to fit motors that have had Fenton Headers & Fenton Dual Carb. Intake manifolds installed on it.
This linkage rod has the proper bends to allow for clearance & smooth operation between the block, headers & 2 carb intake.
Makes for a nice clean installation & simplifies your speed equipment installation process.
You get the verticle throttle rod, 2 washers, 2 cotter pins, lower spring bracket {mounts to oil pan screw} & the bell crank swivel bracket that mounts to the throttle stud on the side of the block.
Every installation is different but you can count on having to drill out the bell crank bracket throttle rod & pedal rod holes the next size up.(depending on the size of your existing parts}We purposely left the bell crank rod holes just undersized so you can custom fit the linkage rods to the bell crank without any slop.
You may need to ad additional flat shimming washers next to the cotter pins to eliminate any play in the linkages {as needed}.
You will also need to locate the proper return spring to suit your personal needs for gas pedal response & pedal return rate. {return spring is NOT included}.
You will use your existing gas pedal linkage rod & it may {or may not} require fitting & or sizing to operate everything smoothly.
**** Will ONLY fit engines that have BOTH the Fenton Dual Carb. intake & Fenton Headers installed on it ****
**** WILL ALSO fit motors with the stock single carb intake but it MUST have Fenton headers installed on it ****
**** Will NOT fit any motor that has the stock exhaust manifold on it ****
**** Will NOT fit any motor earlier than 1955.......Will NOT fit the 216 motors ****
