The COMP Cams 817-16 is a set of 16 Performance Series solid lifters engineered for high-end street and race Ford V8 applications spanning the 289-351W small block through the 351C/M-400M and 429/460 big block families. The precision-drilled .012\" EDM oiling hole improves lubrication at the cam-to-lifter contact area, meaningfully reducing wear under the elevated spring pressures these lifters are built to handle.
A precision-ground crown radius, accurately located oil band, and premium one-piece pushrod seat combine to extend high-RPM durability and keep oil flow properly metered throughout the operating range. As a solid lifter design, these require periodic valve lash adjustment but deliver more precise valve control than hydraulic alternatives, making them a strong fit for serious street performance and full-race Ford builds.
