Audi R8 Gen 2 Carbon Fibre LED Steering Wheel
Here at Carbonwurks we are now producing carbon fibre steering wheels. This particular listing if for an Audi R8 facelift steering wheel including the race pack LED shift lights and telemetry screen.This Matte Carbon wheel is finished in perforated leather with contrast blue stitching, this wheel also includes the more aggressive paddle shifter design along with a slightly sportier and pronounced hand grip section. Our steering wheels at Carbonwurks are highly customisable so please get in touch with what you would like differently to this particular wheel. Whether that be leather, alcantara, different carbon fibre types and finishes, we can cater to whatever you may like.
The lead time is between 5-6 weeks to produce, we will create a wheel to your exact specification whether that be different materials and colours on the grips, different colour stitching or something else custom that you may like (coloured carbon, stripes or pin-striping on the carbon).
The LED Race Pack
This clever module connects to the on board diagnostics (OBD) via a separate bluetooth connection bringing to life extra information to inform the driver. The Race Pack includes the following features:
- RPM
- Engine temperatures
- Battery voltage
- Vehicle speed
- Engine load
- Fuel remaining
- Lap timer
(these readouts can be altered to suit as well as brightness, shifter lights coming on at different points etc)
Some models of vehicles may have slightly different features depending on version of car, year of production etc.
If you have ever wanted to bring the feel of Motorsport even closer to your road car, this is the closest thing you will get.
We are selling our wheels on an exchange basis. If you fail to send us your original wheel within 10 days of receipt you will not get the deposit payment back.
Due to the airbag needing to be removed we recommend professional fitting. The LED race pack connects to the OBD port with an additional wiring loom (can still plug into to use the OBD port) and connects to the telemetry screen via bluetooth. The only hard-wiring will be 1 ground wire and 1 live wire, everything else is via bluetooth.

About Us
Here at Carbonwurks we design, develop and produce full Prepreg Carbon Fibre parts as well as offering CFRP (Carbon Fibre reinforced polymer) parts too for mainly the automotive world. However this is not the only thing we offer.
Some parts that are not under stress or load don't necessarily need to be made out of full Prepreg Carbon Fibre, and for this reason we also offer a lamination/skinning service to turn original parts into Carbon Fibre.
Alongside the Carbon Fibre parts we also design other automotive components and retail only the best automotive performance products that we see fit.
Payment
We accept Paypal transactions directly through or our website which can handle card payments too even if not a Paypal account holder.
Bank transfers are also accepted, please contact us for invoicing and details.
Payment must be made in full before the item(s) are released.
Q) How long does it take to receive my order?
If the parts are in stock then dispatch usually can be the same or next day. Some parts however can be ordered on backorder but may take anywhere from 1-5 weeks to dispatch due to manufacturing times. Please be aware that estimated delivery times may vary depending on how busy the workshop is and that during particularly busy periods, these deadlines might be extended. Please ensure that you supply an e-mail address on ordering and we will e-mail you to notify you when your items have been dispatched. Once items have been dispatched, delivery within mainland UK is next day. International orders can take 2-6 days for delivery. We send all of our products using insured and tracked methods so there are no concerns for you if any products are lost or damaged in transit.
Q) What happens if my order is lost or damaged by the courier in transit?
We always send items using insured and tracked methods, so there's no risk to you at all. Just let us know about the problem immediately and we'll arrange for a new part to be sent in exchange as soon as possible. Please ensure that you check the goods before accepting them from the courier or alternatively sign for the parcel as unchecked. If the goods arrive clearly damaged please either refuse delivery or sign as damaged with clear photos to be taken before unwrapping the packaging.
Returns
We hope you will be happy with your purchase from Carbonwurks, however should you wish to return anything bought from us, we will be happy to refund or exchange a product provided it is returned to us in a completely unused condition with all packaging, etc.
Returns should be made within 14 days and supplied back to us in the original, undamaged packaging.
If we find that the product has not been returned to us in the supplied condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item(s).
We are unable to offer a refund or exchange on any specially ordered or customised products and any returns that are made not due to a product fault (damage on arrival etc) will incur a 25% restocking fee.
Please note we do not refund delivery charges under any circumstances.
