Hello folks, up for saletoday is a super mint factory original digital ETR AM/FM stereo radio withauto-reverse cassette tape player and clock, that was taken out of a 1986Chevrolet Blazer. If you are restoring your classic early to mid thirdgeneration F-Body muscle car to a 100 point show car with exceptional details,exact originality, and show quality, then this radio is just what you arelooking for. This radio was GM RPO option code UM6 and was an expensive $354.00upgrade stereo system option for the 1986-1992 Chevrolet Blazer & S10, GMCJimmy & Sonoma, 1991 & 1992 Oldsmobile Bravada, as well as the 1991 GMCSyclone & 1992 GMC Typhoon. Please note that although this radio wasremoved from a newer Chevrolet model, this radio will fit and work 100% perfectlyinto the 1982-1988 Chevrolet Camaro, Z28, Berlinetta, RS, LT, & IROC-Z,considering it is the identical radio to those models as well both functionallyand connectivity-wise. This radio will also fit and work perfectly into manyother GM cars and trucks from the mid 1980\'s throughout the early 1990\'s aswell.
This radio is in super mint, 100% working condition. The radio was cleanedinside and out, adjusted and lubed. I have tested the radio and it works verywell by picking up many stations on both the FM & AM frequencies. When thestereo receives a FM stereo broadcast, the \"Stereo\" indicator lightsup brightly in a light greenish color. The pushbuttons also work very well andpush in very easily, and for storing and recalling the set stations. The stereoalso has the SEEK/SCAN features built in. The SEEK feature allows the radio topick the next best received station without turning the knob. The SCAN featurewill do it automatically, staying on each station for five seconds beforemoving to the next. The \"SCAN\" indicator will light up for wheneverthe stereo is in SCAN mode. The vacuum florescent digital readout is inexcellent working condition, with no parts of the characters of the numeralsare burned out or dull, and have a very nice light greenish color. The stereois also equipped with a digital clock that displays when the key is turned onand when the radio is off, or after five seconds after tuning in a station. Ihad the clock hooked up for a couple of hours, and it kept perfect time
The cassette tape player also works perfectly. I tested three cassette tapesand they all played extremely well. The tapes play very clear with no sounddistortions or garble. The capstans and head were cleaned, and the speed of thetape was correctly adjusted. The fast forward and reverse switches also worksvery well, with a quick and quiet motion. There is a brand new rubber belt thatwas just installed to give you many years of future usage. The tape inserts andejects nicely. The auto reverse feature also works correctly, with pushing inthe top knob automatically plays the other side of the tape; the tape will alsoswitch sides automatically when it is finished playing on one side. The correcttape LED light comes on for whichever direction the cassette tape is playing.
The treble and bass controls also work 100% correctly and slide very easily,and allows you to fine tune the sound to your satisfaction. The DNR or\"Dynamic Noise Reduction\" also works perfectly, and removes any hissor unwanted sound during the radio or cassette player operation. All fourspeaker channel outputs produce clear and strong sound output with no outsidenoise or distortion. There are many brand new high quality Nichicon capacitorsthat were installed onto all of the various circuit boards inside the radio togive the best possible performance. This stereo will work with any two, three,or four speaker system, and will also work with a power antenna if so equipped.There are three brand new illumination light bulbs that were recently installed,and light up the entire faceplate brightly and evenly in a light greenishcolor. Cosmetically the stereo isin super mint condition, as it looks close to new and can be easily installedinto a show or museum car. All of the black buttons have an excellent blackcolor with no chips, marks, or heavy scratches. The faceplate is also in supermint condition as it has a very nice black matte finish with no scratches,marks, or fading. there is a slight wear mark just above the \"SEEK\"button, but this is very hard to see and not very noticeable at all. Despitethis however, the radio still presents itself beautifully. The digital displaylens cover is clear with no scratches or marks. The original decal tags arestill attached to the top and side of the radio chassis, and look nearlyperfect. The factory GM part # for this radio is 16041341, which was latersuperseded to the GM part #s of 16066325 & 16131345. The correct originalall black outer and inner knobs are included, and are also in super mintcondition.
For an additional $25, I will also include the correct electrical harness plugsthat connect to the back of the radio; however the winning buyer must contactme when the listing ends as it is available at your request. Also for anadditional $50, I will install an externally mounted auxiliary jack that willallow any device such as an Apple iPhone or Android smartphone to be played directlythrough this radio and output to the speakers; please let me know if you\'realso interested in having this done as well.

It is up tothe responsibility of the buyer and/or installation technician to ensure thatthis radio is to be installed correctly. This radio needs to be connected toeither an 8 or 10 ohm speaker on each speaker output, or to a total of 8 or 10ohms using two components (such as a tweeter and midrange, etc.). Failure toconnect this radio to the correct ohm rating speaker, or connecting this radioto speakers that are shorted or wired incorrectly, or to speakers that usedirect chassis ground, will instantly destroy the audio output ICs causing a nosound issue. Once the radio leaves my ownership, I am no longer responsible ifa problem should occur. Thank you for your understanding.
