You are looking at a pair of new Tommyzees Racefab subframe connectors for a \'65-\'70 Mustang, they will fit coupe and fastbacks. They hug the floorpan nicely and DO NOT hang down any lower than the front framerails. They are a weld in design because bolt on connectors do little to add rigidity to the chassis. These connectors will stiffen the chassis to let your suspension mods work.

-They are made from 1 3/4\" diameterx .095\" wall thicknessround tubing.
-Mandrel bent round tubing.
-They are fullyMIG welded in a fixture for straightness.
-Fully gusetted and braced.
-They extend up the rear framerails a full 8 1/2\".
-Theyfully surround the front framerails by 4 1/2\".
Theconnectors are shipped tack welded together, the welds can easily be ground throughwith an angle grinder. After a few mishaps with connectors being lost orthe box breaking open, this was deemed the best way to ship these connectors, Ihave not had a mishap since adopting this shipping method.
1.The best way to install these iswith the use of a drive on vehicle lift in which all four tires are supportedas the vehicle is raised into the air. Such a lift is found in muffler andautomotive repair shops. If such a lift is not available the vehicle will needto be raised efficiently to allow welding of the connectors, either by placingthe car on ramps or jack stands on a nice level surface. Jack stands should beplaced under the rear differential housing and front lower control arms so thatthe vehicle weight is resting on its suspension. Failure to do this could causethe chassis to twist out of position and cause body alignment problems. The carshould also be placed as close to level front to back and front to rear as possible.
2.The connectors are marked left andright. The front of the connector will have the \"boxed\" in area witha gusset. The \"boxed\" in piece will surround the front frame rail oneach side. The frame rail to floor pan connection on \'69-\'70 models will needto be clearanced so the connector \"box\" can slip over the frame rail.The \"box\" will need to fitflush with the back of the framerail. The back of the connector slips over the rear frame rail with a\"C\" channel connection. Thetop of the connector will sit flushwith with the bottom of the rear frame rail.
3. The best fit is achieved when thefront connector \"box\" is flush with the back of the front frame railand the top of the connector is flush with the bottom of the rear frame rail.The connectors should be held in place with a hydraulic jack or jack stands andtack welded in place.
4.Grind all paint, rust orundercoating from areas where the connector will weld to the car. Use at leasta 130 AMP mig welder for best results. Weld all vertical and horizontal areasof the connector where the connector touches the front frame rail, bottom ofthe rear frame rail and the rear frame rail where it rises to clear the rearend.. A good rust inhibiting primer should be sprayed. Followed by a good coatof paint.
