INSTALLATION NOTES:Due to the different shaft lengths with aftermarket alternators, primarily 3G-style alternators, the lock washer may need to be removed/omitted. If this is required for your application, apply a blue thread locking compound to the threads and tighten the retaining nut. Verify that there is adequate clearance between the rear of the pulley and the alternator housing, and the retaining nut properly bottoms out against the pulley.
