Because of its success in Carrera-Cup racing, the 3.6 liter engine was selected as the 911 Turbo's powerplant for 1993. The turbocharger and catalytic converters from the 3.3 liter engine were carried over. The car can be identified by the "Turbo 3.6" badge on the rear of the car. Only 1,437 cars were produced.
