The C1000 was originally conceived in 1994 with construction completed in 1995 by an United Arab Emirates citizen who desired to own the fastest, individually owned car in the world. Mercedes-powered and the body designed by Lotec, the C1000 is a one-of-a-kind car with only one being built.

The design and engineering of the car cost over $1 million, and the actual construction of the car cost $1.2 million.

The "C" in C1000 stands for race car and carbon fiber. The number "1000" stands for a thousand and one percent and nearly 1000 horsepower.

The C1000 can either run on premium unleaded gas or a mixture of gas and aircraft fuel.
