The Boss 429 was built by Ford to qualify their 429 engine for Nascar. The 429 package included ram air induction, an aluminum high riser, header type exhaust manifolds, a four speed manual and a 3.91:1 Traction-Lok axle, oil cooler, trunk mounted battery, and a race suspension.
