The F50 GT was developed for the GT1 racing series. Unfortunately, the GT never saw a race due to Ferrari cancellation of the project. Ferrari had decided to focus their racing efforts and funds solely on Formula 1. Only three F50 GT's were produced, with two other chassis unbuilt.
