The 2001 330i recieved many changes from the previous year's 3-Series: - New engine; 3.0-liter, 225-hp unit, replacing 2.8-liter, 193-hp unit - Available automatic transmission in new version, with different ratios - Available fulltime all-wheel drive with DSC-X traction/stability-enhancement system and other features (DSC standard with rear-wheel drive); model called 330xi with this option - Larger brakes: 12.8-in. front, 12.6-in. rear, vs. 11.8/11.6 - Standard 17 x 7.0 Double Spoke alloy wheels with 205/50R-17 91H all-season tires (16-in. wheels and tires previously standard) - Headlight and foglight surrounds in Titanium finish (previously black) - Bumper screen and slats in Titanium finish (previously body-color) - Dual chrome exhaust tips - New exterior color: Sahara Beige Metallic (replaces Light Yellow Metallic) - New design for 4-spoke steering wheel, with smoother center section - Aluminum-finish rings around dials in instrument cluster - Optional Sport Package: 17-in. wheels and tires now in differentiated front/rear sizes as on previous 328Ci Updated 09:19 PM - September 06, 2008
